I received training off the local Fire and Rescue Service on using fire extinguishers. Question is can I pass this info on to staff members as an in house training session in using fire extinguishers

Hi Steve,

Question is, are you competant to do so, after a basic training session offa the brigade? Will you remember everything, cover everything and explain things adequately. I wouldn't want anyone getting stuck to a CO2.

Ask yourself, how are you going to demonstrate them? If the brigade set fires to put out, I would suggest you shouldn't - which takes the realism away. Which extinguishers are you going to use - because once discharged they need replacement, etc. Also, do all staff need training?

I personally wouldn't.
