I'm signing my employer up for the 5 star audit by the British Safety Council in 2010. In my consultancy days i used to have their audit template they used so i could benchmark my then Clients against what they have in place, Does anyone have a blank or completed audit to hand for me to refer to so i can benchmark my employer to see where we stand. Many thanks

Tony, When you sign up for the audit you should get a copy of the appropriate specification document (I say appropriate because it will depend if you sign up for straight forward 5 star of the combined 18001 and 5 star audit). This gives you a comprehensive spec covering what you are asking. I audit for them occassionally so if you haven't got this document yet let me know and I will find out who should be sending it to you. Cheers - Donna

It is interesting to note that you have had this information in the past. As the Audit Manager for the BSC I would like to point out that the audit content has copyright and should not be publically available. In order to assist our clients, we are able to provide a full specification document and I would urge you to ask your BSC Account Manager for a copy of this which is in 'pdf' format. If, once you have checked through this document, you have any technical questions, please ask to be given my contact details and I will be happy to assist you further. Kind regards Avril Bairstow

Avril, On another note, even the Health and Safety Executive does not "recognise" the BSC 5 Star Audit System in its "Comparison of HSG 65 with other key management ‘standards’ " Refer to:- http://www.hse.gov.uk/fo...pect/mast/comparison.htm
