Folks,
I need to send one of my clients chaps on a "eye bolt testing" and "fixed ladder course", so he can fulfil the legal requirements on the clients sites, does anyone know of such courses to enable them to be competant looking for something in the midlands area

thanks hugely

I'm afraid I can't point you in the right direction but I would imagine to cover the eyebolt testing it will be a lifting equipment or LOLER course rather than a specific eye bolt testing course. Although I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me on the matter will be along soon!

Tony,

Not sure if it will help but the National Construction College in Kings Norton Birmingham should be able to point you in the right direction. Their number is 0300 456 5620 or www.nationalconstructioncollege.co.uk

Hope this helps

For eyebolt testing you are looking for a "lifing Gear Examiners" course. For ladders, I am not sure what you are requiring, it may just need a competent visual inspection, or are you wanting to NDT the structural welds etc.
