I picked up the construction news yesterday and could hardly believe what I was reading on the front cover Under their plan they would let firms bypass HSE. It goes on to say that companies who can demonstrate that they have health and safety under control verified by external audits, they will have the right to turn away HSE inspectors who come unannounced?? Self regulation does not work and never has! God knows what’s coming next? Read the article guys it will make your blood boil. http://www.cnplus.co.uk/...om-sites/5209705.article

Depends on the construction firm. If construction firms have decent safety management systems in place, and all levels buy into it. Do you know think that this is enough ? John

Never happen as the HASAW Act will need to be repealed!! and replaced with something else! Will this get through Parliament? Doubt it! Saying is one thing, doing is another!
