I think there should have been a lot more time given for checking errors etc etc.
I have also noticed that every time I reply to a message there is a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" displayed at the bottom......

Only some people are getting that - the empty box should be a copy of the thread, in reverse order - but it's loaded as an iframe, and those are often eaten by browsers with ad filtering or popup blockers. The code itself is error-free.
When you reply to this thread, the content of the box is trying to be: http://forum.iosh.co.uk/...?g=lastposts&t=92337

SPR: What's "a lot" ?
I am just a user like you, but was part of the test team. We had a couple of weeks where we were invited to break the systems and report errors. We were selected (I can only summise) from the pool of people who previously replied to pleas for help from IOSH.
Now, we are all busy little users and two weeks' worth of popping in when I could resulted in a few hours' worth of testing from me personally - and I guess the same for the others that chose to register. We did a lot of test posts but I doubt we could have replicated all of these issues given several years. That is because we are not sat at your desk using your equipment and your personal settings.
I know many of the ISOH team were also testing it before we got the invite.
So what's the answer? : A rough and short period of work looking at the big things of functionality and then opening it up to the whole population of users and sort it out from there. IMO. That is what they have done.
We caught a lot of things (including spacing) but there were other issues that could not show themselves until it went live and real data and real users started to pour in.
Tom is answering things as they crop up. That is a better service than I get from Microsoft, or even my in-house IT dept.
Why not give it a couple of weeks to bed in?

I agree with tabs. It's a new system for all of us and having experience of web development for another business I think that IOSH have done a great job so far with relatively few glitches.

Something deffo wrong here with the new forums ....
..... I am agreeing with Tabs as well, Stuff4blokes!
Mods - it must be broken, please report it and get it fixed - no more Mr Niceguy please.
Remember everyone this is week 1. If it was a new car you would have phoned the garage 100 times by now, checked the oil 4 times a day, scratched it and kept the kids out.
Refreshing change. Thanks to all.
