Hi,

despite being around for a few years I've never really needed to have a presentable CV, until now!!

Would anyone like to cast their eyes over it and offer any advice to make it more inviting?

Eleven weeks ago I was told that I was going to be made made redundant, and I was made redundant three weeks ago. I was out of work for two weeks, but I have started in a new post this week which pays more than my previous role due to a number of factors. One of the main ones is that I had a really good couple of recruitment consultants from differing organisations who took my CV and made it into what they thought that prospective interviewers wanted to see. Other things are of course important such as interview practice, but the first thing is to get invited to interview. I had five, got turned down by three, was offered two. Getting invited to interview is the tough bit, which is obviously why the CV is such an important tool.
Get all the good advice from the folks on this forum, but for what it is worth, my advice is to also get a recruitment consultant or two to look over your CV. Also, may be worth having more than one CV: some organisations push environment then mention H&S, some the other way round. I was told that it makes a difference.
