Hi all Could anyone suggest suitable training / training providers that would be able to provide training for staff who have to deal with aggressive behaviour from clients with learning disabilities, special needs, brain injury etc. We have a dedicated team of staff who work with these clients but we have had a number of incidents recently that have given cause for concern and, whilst the staff have had basic awareness training about avoiding known triggers, being familiar with clients care plan etc I feel that more bespoke training would be useful. Any pointers in right direction would be greatly appreciated. Regards FH

Try Maybo - link below. I do not work for them but have used them in the past and have had favourable feedback. Hope this helps. http://www.maybo.com/con...ent_tutor_training.shtml

Hi there We use a trainer recommended by our local NHS Trust, we initially used trainers from the NHS Trust themselves. If you contact your nearest NHS trust you may well find that they have an in-house violence and aggression management training team who are willing to carry out training for external clients.
