Looking for some information on legal requirements, what is the legal requirement for training staff on use of a harness?
Presumably covered in WAH/PUWER, just looking for clarification on what is required.

Any information appreciated.

Thanks

There isn't any detail other than the fact they must be competent, therefore must be formally trained. Who does it, how long it lasts, what the syllabus says, all depends on what type of use the harness is being put to. A basic MEWP driver can be trained in half a day, tower climbing in 1 or 2 days, but a rope rescuer takes several weeks.
