All,

Am working In Saudi Arabia and we are presently looking to procure some machinery for a new factory build from an Australian manufacturer. They should be supplying to Australian Standard AS 4024.1-
2006 Safety of Machinery, and, although they are not shipping to the E.U., we require them to CE mark and comply with the Australian diredctive to ensure this.

Does anyone have a copy of this directive I could peruse?

Morning all,

If you require a ce marking it will need to comply with the EU standard not the Aus one. They will all be much if a muchness in principle.

I'd inform your guys CE mark use the eu directive and take guidance from the 1992 as ammended regs
NOTE**** the more stringent 2008 regs are enforceable 29 DECEMBER 2009 ******
most places will be using the 08 regs now the are available from OPSI web site
