I have been assessing the suitablility of a number of hard hats (safety helmets), which incorporate (built in to the helmet) eye/face protection, for use in my workplace.

Unfortunately the range of equipment I have been able source in the UK seems limited to eye protection only. However, I recently attended a presentation that included a short video relating to elctrical arc flash incidents and during the video I noticed a helmet which had more of a face shield built in rather than the standard eye protection.

Would anyone have any idea where I could find this type of product in the UK or something similiar???

I was going to start a similar thread after my hat fell off because the zero hood doesn't attach properly to a ratchet band hardhat and the clip on ear defenders broke (4th set this year and I'm forced to buy my own)

I was watching a similar video last week after being asked and refusing to switch on a main panel (someone else had installed) breaker without appropriate testing or the last line of defene ... PPE. A colleague died from an arc flash and another was seriously injured a few years ago before management finally bothered their rear ends getting arc protection.

Is this for last line protection against arc-flash/blast? Shoud I assume because you were presented the video that assessment for arcflash is relevant for your charges?
Think I saw somethng non-arc protective at the Emergency Services Show and Offshore Europe. Then there were the fire helmets, I remember commenting to the exhibitor how much easier it would be if I just wore a fire hemet instead having all these add-ons which got in the way of each other and introduced risks due to the clumsiness.

If it is arc protection arcflashprotection.co.uk might be a good start.
It's high time PPE was integrated instead of the current that'll do them equipment..
