I have always been interested in the renewable energy sector and would like to transfer to this work area.

I am currently working in the energy sector as a HSE manager for a world recognised company, on the construction & commissioning of a combined cycle power plant.

My other HSE work experiences come from a construction background.

Is there anyone on this forum, which works in this area, as I wish to partake in required courses in HSE to transfer to this sector.

If you have any advice please to provide.

Kind regards

Paul

My career has been in oil and gas exploration, HSE conslutancy. Particularly for offshore, we see a lot of transferable skills. You will find a load of information on this site, www.bwea.com, and there is a special H&S info link on the left side. This is a new industry and a good career move, especially if you have any marine experience or ambitions and are happy to try offshore.
