The Building Regs is a great place to start. Also you local fire service can advise you on extinguishers.

Have a great day...

Excellent advice from Norm. The Building Regulations part B are available as a free download from http://www.planningporta...tb/bcapproveddocumentsb/

Carrickman,

the Scottish Executive publish guidance on fire applicable to specific industry sectors which you may find useful. They contain a number of Technical Annexes which contain (surprisingly) a lot of technical information.
