A friend in Ireland asked me about gaining qualifications to become a h&s practitioner. I am aware of qualifications such as NEBOSH here, but do they also apply in Ireland? Appreciate any useful information - thanks.

Ray,

Yes they do apply in the Republic. NEBOSH courses are run all over the country. I will pm you with my email address and get them to contact me and I will do whatever I can to help them.

Good to know, as i'm due to start my NEBOSH in feb (possibly) and we have a facility in Ireland that eventually will come under my remit.

Be aware that the NEBOSH Course is based on UK law and there have been seismic changes in Irish Law.

In Ireland, Detailed safety statements are required based on a risk assessment for each individual location. If I can help anyone, PM me and I will supply links that will assist with guidance and legislation to make life easy for them.
