Afternoon,
Does anyone use this system? are they fit for their intended purpose? do they offer value for money?
Be intrested in any comments / views as we are looking to purchase 30+ of this type of box and are looking at different options.
Many Thanks for your help.

Before I retired from the HE Sector I was aware that a number of Universities were looking into the Gerda or similar system. Particularly for premises which did not have 24/7 cover.
I don’t know if any did install them.
I understand that some Fire Authorities were pushing for the installation of such systems.
The big advantage being that the First Attendance had instant access to the site information.

They are very eye catching and sturdy, but the interior space is not particularly large. I suggest you make contact with someone who has got one and arrange to have a look inside - or get the firm to show you one.
They do need maintenance, so buying them is not a one-off cost.
If someone in your management chain decides that they want the higher security type of box, you will find that the Fire Service (in this locality at least) do not have keys, so they no longer have access to the information at all.
I would suggest thinking very carefully about the risk to security of the information you want to keep in the box, and whether you can settle for a cheaper lower security box.
