Hi All,

Just wanted to pick your brains. Would a person who has the Nat Gen, Fire safety and risk M'gment and a level 3 teaching qualification. 6yrs experience in H&S and inhouse training be qualified enough to advertise and hold Fire safety and Fire Marshal courses for other companies.

In the eyes of the law would they be considered competant enough, as I am unable to find any information on the minimum requirements to hold such a course.

Kind Regards

C. Moore

Cres,

I hope I will be corrected if I am wrong, but to my knowledge there are no minimum requirements for competency to teach a fire marshal's course.

It might be worth your while to contact the Institute of Fire Safety Managers http://www.ifsm.org.uk/.

Let me know how you get on.

Alex
