Hello all,
Re. Contact Lens Use in a Chemical Environment
Can anyone tell me what the current position is on the wearing of contact lenses; for example - In a laboratory where small amounts of hazardous substances (liquids, etc) are used regularly? My understanding is that their wearing was banned many years ago but now the situation is more relaxed as the risk from them is adequately controlled by means of appropriate eye protection, etc.
What is your own company's policy on this?
As always any help and advice will be most greatfully recieved.

Thanks that's very helpful. Does anyone have any examples where they have incorporated the guidance into their own procedures?
