As it's Friday I thought I would bring to your attention the guy who was trapped in the rubble in Haiti for days with a broken leg. He claims that his first aid app on his IPhone saved his life by following its instructions. If true it is not an insignificant app, otherwise good advertising. I have recently downloaded an app which is a noise reader in decibels. Handy little tool for general site visits. Okay, may not be state of the art, but it appears to be pretty accurate. Wonder if anyone else is aware of it or even used it? Could there be any more serious h&s applications that could be developed? Answers on a postcard please.

I have the DB App Ray, have used it on general visits but yet to compare it to our actual decibel meter to see how acurate it is... I was thinking the same thing though, any decent H&S apps?!

Could a light metre app be produced?, possibly utilising the camera, again as a general use as would not expect these to be as accurate as calibrated purpose built equipment.
