will be helpful. Just scroll to Part M and you should be looking for the May 2006 version. There may have been some amendments since then so I can't be 100% certain it is a currently definitive document in its entirety.

Some of the others will probably come in handy which is why I have given you the portal link.

Do remember you can exceed the minimum stated facilities/sizes etc.

Hi Amjad

The Employers forum on disability used to do a really good booklet called 'open for business' which gave guidance on the recommendations for all sorts of disabled access (good practice rather than regs).

I cannot see it listed on their list of current publications but if you contact them, they may be producing the same information under a different title.

Hi Amjad,

As the previous posts have commented, Part M and BS8300 would be the most obvious sources of information as they are very similar in content, and very detailed.

However, if you don't feel inclined to read through those two large documents (or suffer from insomnia), you might find the summary guide from the Centre for Accessible Environments 'Designing for Accessibility' of more use. It's also considerably cheaper than the BS, although Part M is free to download.

Out of curiousity, what do you need the information for? Are you looking to carry out an audit of premises, advise on general modification or adapt the workplace for someone in particular?
