We have engineers and sales staff that drive company and private vehicles for work and I would like to know the mileage limits others have in place for providing extra training such as defensive driving or driver development courses. Thanks

Hi, Never had a specified mileage but all drivers had to have an internal, practical assessment of their driving skills before they were allowed to drive company vehicles. Following an accident/incident they would have to be reassessed. RoSPA have a lot of free info on their website that might assist but I expect you've been there. Steve

It is a very good idea to promote safe driver training programs It has been estimated that up to a third of all road traffic accidents involve somebody who is at work at the time. This may account for over 20 fatalities and 250 serious injuries every week. INDG 382 Driving At Work sugggests 2000 miles as good practice Steve
