smoke detectors in mobile homes (2 bedrooms>)

Hello, I am finding conflicting views from a couple of local authorities on the number and type of detectors that should be fitted in an individual mobile home. Views range from only requiring 1 in an individual mobile home. where as another view is that individual areas within in a mobile home should each have a detector and be a hard wired system.
I appreciate risk assessment is key, however i was wondering if anyone else had received conflicting views. Also legislative requirements in regards to fire safety in this regard
Many thanks
Ben

Do you really required hard wired smoke detectors if that was the case then all houses would have to be hard wired.
As long as the smoke detector is working and tested in accordance with the manufacturers requirements then there should be no issues. Two would just give that extra protection.
Is the mobile home used for hiring or personnal use?

Thanks Farrell, Your comments were helpful and confirmed my thoughts, there are a number of mobile homes, which are used for housing seasonal workers who pay a nominal charge for rent. I appreciate there are duty holders/landlord duties. however conflicting views between authorities are not helpful.
Many thanks
