Hi I am considering using a career management service. They seem to be quite expensive. Do people generally think they work or are they just a waste of money? Does anyone have any recommendations of one they may have used and had success with? So far I have had an initial meeting with one called Fort Chapard, has anyone heard of it? To use their services it would cost me £2,908. Yes not cheap! Regards Sharon

S Firstly I would advise against not putting specific names down in writing as such actions can lead to all kinds of things Career management is a vital thing to consider today [- it was easy in my day -] I would advise that you talk to as many people as possible to find out all you can and thereafter get professional help if you think that you need it Evaluate these forums, attend IOSH branch meetings and post questions and having professional career management specialists on your arm can be very helpful
