Rank: Guest		I'm looking for some good quality hazard symbols etc to include in internal publications and information posters etc. We use an excellent free online site for some signs http://www.freesignage.c...safe_condition_signs.php but I want to be able to use the individual symbols etc within other documents.

Rank: Super forum user		Jon, Have you thought about using something like Photoshop Elements to edit the pictures? You can isolate part of the image by use of the Crop tool. Or are you looking for higher resolution images for printing?

Rank: Guest		Thanks, I generally do google them but have never found a single source of consistently high quality images so have to mix and match according to requirements. We do print some off to a reasonably large size so resolution is important. I was just wondering if anyone had found a a good open source. The images themselves must be open domain and non copyright so I am surprised there is no easy access to high quality images Regards

Kate - Thanks - turns out that's the same online app I referred to in my original post. very good but the images can't be scaled up so well. I'm going to concentrate on finding the CHIP label images for now as these are probably more appropriate for my needs at present. Thanks again Jon

Rank: Super forum user		Jon, If you don't mind paying for these, a good option is the Safety Officer's Combo Pack from http://www.rivingtondesigns.com/index.htm These are .wmf format so are compatible with MSOffice products and others. Alan

Rank: Guest		Grim, Having done a bit more research I now note that the symbols you referred to eariler are in fact replacing the european symbol (black on orange square). http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg136.pdf. Wasn't aware of this and havn't as yet seen any of the international labels on any of our goods. Anyone have an idea of when this will happen as the HSE guidance above states from 2009? I guess it makes sense to include both types of label in any training and information package we provide. Thanks again Jon

Rank: Super forum user		They are already in effect. If you read through the info on the links page I posted you will find detailed information on the new GHS symbols and their usage. There is a crossover period whereby the existing orange/black versions are allowed but these will be phased out over time.
