The definition of construction in the ACoP seems to exclude that of work to or on vessels and mobile offshore installations.

So i would suggest the answer is no.

Hi,
My understanding of CDM 2007 is that work to or on vessels such as ships and mobile offshore installations is not construction work but work on a structure such as a dock or harbour would come under the regs.

Yes Stephen that is generally correct however a harbour authority could 'by-pass' CDM by promoting a Harbour Revision Order through their statutory powers...
