Not sure if there is more to this than meets the eye (as there usually is with these stories), but surely this is one place you'd expect there to be an up to date FRA?
More ammo for the non-believers.......?
Have a good weekend!!

Should I feel guilty for finding that story rather amusing?

Oh dear....
I was going to do my training at Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire but decided to to it in Birmingham instead. Lucky me.
Not a good marketing technique :(

I have to chuckle at:
"a number of shortcomings were identified, including the absence of an up-to-date fire risk assessment, which have all since been put right".
That's OK then!

I'm not going to have a chuckle here as many in the private sector will be asking where is the enforcement action by the HSE here? Considering the seriousness and potential loss of life its all been too quiet on that front. Yet imagine it was at your place.
And today more details released about the sad deaths of two fire fighters dealing with an operation in Southampton.

An investigation by Sir Ken Knight, the government's chief fire and rescue adviser awaits. The Health and Safety Executive "has also been informed" we're told.
I've no doubt that Sir Ken will come to the right conclusions but really I'd to see someone the HSE get their pants in a twist. Why so hands off? The two fire fighter deaths at Bethanal Green that were subject to a previous investigation have quietly passed into history.
Annoyed

Depends who the enforcing authority is for the legislation.
In Scotland it is the local Fire and Rescue Service, so I wouldn't necessarily expect the HSE to be directly involved.
