Hi all Have any of you been involved in Job evaluation relating to your roles? if so what does it involve? is it financial related? performance? etc best wishes Dave

I have, it wasn't about individual performance, but about analysing the content of a job, ultimately in order to place it on a pay scale. The analysis looked at aspects such as how much decision-making was involved, how much technical knowledge was needed, etc and resulted in a profile for each job.

Kate has it just right. We use an evaluation system that gives points for various aspects of the work that are described within the job description and the total of the points determines the position on the pay scale
