I must admit I'm struggling to justify that one but here goes -

What may have been left unsaid is:

"If any of the contents causes an allergic reaction and comes [if] in contact..."

But then as any number of posters would point out, too much water can also cause dermatitis.

I would file that one where I file most safety data sheets, in a folder marked "Works of fiction"!

Last year in an engineering plant I reviewed 50 safety data sheets. Only one was correct. Four were for acetone. All showed different risk phrases and none agreed with the Approved Supply List. The Chemical Hazard Communication Society reviewed a large number (if I remember correctly 500) safety data sheets and found only 1.7% correct in all respects.

Incidentally, the main ingredient will be ethanol which evaporates off the skin very quickly. It is how it works as a santising rub.

Chris, any info. on what the CHCS did with their findings? I would hope these findings could be passed on to the HSE somehow.
