Your opinions/advice/two penny worth appreciated:
Last week we had a rubber flexi hose blow on a concrete pipeline (after the steels), fortunately no-one was hurt.
Our steel pipes are under a maintenance/checking regime, where they are all individually numbered, and their wall thickness's are checked on a regular basis. I am looking to establish the same for the flexi's however, you cant measure the wall thicknesses electronically (so I believe), and am considering a "Best Before Date" taking into account age and volume of concrete passed through them, in addition to a visual check.
Have any of you got any other ideas, or how do you manage this?
Thanks
Martin

talk to the manufacturer as they may have systems and untra sonics may do the trick howver unless there is the market UT companies would not be looking to work in that area - gammer ray will also allow you to measure but again no market so nobody offering the service?
keep us posted
