Hi,
I'm trying to figure out this problem for some time now and cannot get answer.

When employees have to travel to another location of work (site jobs) with company vehicle, where the petrol is paid by the employer, what is the work hours for driver and what is the work hours for passengers? What travel hours they should be paid? What about travelling back from the site? Is there any regulations or guides?

P.S. Employees travel every day to and from the site back home.

Many thanks
Jacob

your employees are 'at work' from the moment they start to travel in the morning to the moment they stop travelling in the evening as far as H&S law goes - none paid dinner and other such breaks accepted

as for pay; that is a HR - contract of employment issue

Do you have any idea where do I find it black on white, as it is now a big issue with my boss, and I need something in the hand?
Many thanks

Agree with Bob and a HR issue in respect of any pay issues involved.

For instance if i left home at 7am to go to one of our depots i wouldn't expect to be paid overtime myself as it's the time i set off to work anyway, but i would expect to be paid for anything before that and after my normal getting home time (which i do)

J
get your insurers and legal beagles to discover the case law [I am sure that there is some] involved as thats what they get paid for - as I know it the case law is employment case law re pay not H&S case law
