Hi all

i have been tasked with setting up a card system for the control of contractors, or better still an effective means of recording best practice /room for improvement poor safety etc during works carried out on site.

Something simple FAIR and straightforward would be useful

does anyone have any helpful ideas or advice? i would just like to deliver a co-ordinated approach for the management of contractors.

Many thanks

Dave

as an example a single sheet of paper can do the trick for small and simple jobs in like for like areas

a check list is created based on the contract rules and expectations; e.g. is the contractor;

* managing welfare
* adhering to the speed limits
* ensuring site cleanliness

Mark the 'YES' answers with 1 and the 'NO' answers with 2 and add up your score - the higher the score the worse the contractor is performing! you can set up a performance matrix which measures 1 against another

this is a very simple example but it does work
