Hi
Does anyone have any knowledge of these kinds of doors. We have 2 sets that have been put in as part of a refurbishment.
They have no intumescent strips on sides of doors and we are being told that it is already built in.
My question would be does anyone know how much these will expand and how long it will take. I am not sure if they will bridge the gap currently between the doors on expansion.
Hope that makes sense.

My thoughts would be to ask for the manufacturers information for the doors. That should give you some technical info on the doors and what their rating for fire should be.
Sometimes you can find this information on a label of the door itself. A good way to check is find the fire rating for the door and compare it to the Fire Management Plan for the refurbishment works. This plan should show which doors should reach which fire rating. This plan will also tell you distance paths to safe areas such as stairwells etc.
Hope that helps..

You may find the information on the manufacturer's website, or even a telephone call.
