I was just thinking about work opportunites and different challenges the other day and it occured to me that I never see jobs for H&S lecturers in either FE colleges or universities and yet there are loads of courses and degrees and masters in both. Why don't they advertise or is there a special place they advertise? In other words how do you find such jobs??

Posts in the Higher Education sector are often advertised in the Times Higher Education Supplement.

I dont know if the Mods will allow this but Most of the UK Universities will post job vacancies on this site www.jobs.ac.uk

I am one of those lecturers and my post was advertised in SHP and the Times/Guardian. Hope that helps. Got to be frank not a good time to be considering a teaching job in FE or Higher Education, the sector is about to implode as budgets are drastically cut for the next financial year and the future has a lot of uncertainty associated with it!

Well call me traditional, but my job as a Health and Safety Tutor was advertised in the Job Centre.
