Hello,

Does anyone have any good ideas how i can celebrate this milestone in my Company. I have already done a quiz, spot the hazard etc

Looking for something bit different that would still require participation form Employess.

Your help and feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Katie

If it's to celebrate a milestone why not just make it something of a celebration rather than quizzes/activities/etc? Depending on company size anything from a lunchtime BBQ to a day out somewhere...

Would like to celebrate my combining a team building activity with a free lunch etc. But not sure on type of activity, i want to try and involve people.

We already have a near miss system in place.

Any other suggestions? Please let me know.

Thanks People

Congratulations on getting there.
When we got there we did a number of things to show everyone how big an achievement it was:
1) Congratulatory email from Head to all staff.
2) Piece in internal papers- preferrably including mention in largest circulation one (National?)
3) 1/2 day's extra leave!!!!!
4) Big posters on internal notice boards

Be warned- you may well get the "knockers"- questioning it's importance, its genuineness etc- that's yet another reason why you need to make sure the milestone is celebrated

BUT also try to identify why you have got there and do all you can to ensure that all incidents are reported (there may well be sub-concious pressure felt by some not to report anything now- in case it "destroys" the record (and what the next "goal" is))

This is one reason why my old company went away from referring to last reportable incident etc as it was felt that reporting issues or near misses would be discouraged. In fact one employee was pressurised to return to work so the company could keep it's good track record.

However it's certainly a good achievement a BBQ sounds like a good idea just make sure the food is cooked properly otherwise you may achieve another milestone most number of employees of sick at one time lol.
