Hello,
This is probably a daft question - I have been told many times that as H&S professionals we have to sell H&S, police H&S... and I can't remember the other two things! Was one of them to do with politics? I think there are 4 altogether. I know it should be glaringly obvious but I thought it might be an interesting thread too.
My brain is a sieve!
Thanks

If only it was 4 things...however, I agree to promote h&s, monitor, possibly provide training/mentoring and provide/check safety documentation. I'm sure others will provide many more topics.

Hello again
Thanks for the sugestions, agree with them all but they're not quite the phrase I remember.
I'm still trying to think....
It was something quite short (and dare I say - punchy), relating to general skills rather than what you actually have to do, along the lines of "when you'e a H&S professional, you have to be a salesman, a policeman, a politician..."
I.e. we have to 'sell' the benefits of H&S, 'police' it and make sure people are doing things right e.g. checks, inspections etc, (not sure about the politician bit).
Am I making any sense?
Cheers :-)

Hi
I found it! For anyone who's interested, it was:
Salesman, Policeman, Diplomat and Judge
Quite true I think!
