I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of a generic framework for an Audit, looking to audit a large office environment and also to audit the Facilities Management company operating within the enviroment. I know the audit will need to be made more specific to the actual environment, but would like a start point, have tried searching a number of sites without much luck - a link would be appreciated.
Many thanks

I don't know of a specific web site but we use our policies and audit against those and the expectations of the company regarding standards. This has been very effective. I have in the past also created scoring systems from the policies to show improvements over time etc. For the first audit I would see where the area/department was complying against policy and suggest improvements as well as commenting on good practice and then consider developing a more complex system later. If more than 1 person is completing the audit develop some guidelines on who to question etc.
Hope this helps, If I can assist futher PM me.

We use a set of audit questions which are roughly based on HSG65.
To a certain extent you need to decide what standard you are going to work to and how you are going to judge whether the area you are auditing is compliant or not.
Your own health and safety policy, risk management arrangements etc will provide you with the basis of your standard.
PM me if you would like more information.
