Would anyone be able to help please on the shelf life of harnesses and lanyards We have conflicting information from various parties - between 5 and 10 years

Probably playing safe with this, but have you asked the manufacturer? I'd think it was dependant on use and environment it is stored in.

Up to 10 years max lifespan but only up to 5 years use, so 10 max if stored for 5 years before use. All dependent on correct storage, use and no damage or wear.

Hi, Agree with above comments. Manufacturers will advise of course, depends upon use/storage but I believe for normal usage typical lifespan is 10 years from date of manufacture or 5 years from date of first use. Regards Steve

All the above posts mention dates and figures but at the end of the day, they can only be for guidance. The manufacturer will guarantee an item for a certain length of time and not all manufacturers will have the same length of guarantee. Manufacturer MUST have the final say.
