Hello, Jus t aquick question regarding the IMDG code, I am sure I ahve read somewhere aware that a particular chemical requires all places of rest on its route to require self contained BA... problem is I cant remember where I read it or what the chemical is :-( Also need to find access to the code........) any ideas greatfully received......

All ships carrying dangerous goods (i.e. all items listed in the IMDG plus others) need to carry SCBA sets. So your query is incorrect - BA sets are not limited to a particular chemical. See MSN 1669 para 3(k) http://www.mcga.gov.uk/c...xtobjid=6782E33AEF2A3676

IMDG can be bought - see the IMO website http://www.imo.org/home.asp and click on "Safety" along the top and then "Dangerous Goods" on the right side - there is a link to their selling department. Otherwise contact a nautical supplier in your area.
