I see that the Buncefield trial has now finished. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-10660356 No surprises in the outcome.

I am surprised that one of the companies took such a large fine for water pollution caused by the firefighters using"dodgy" foam, especially since I have heard cconsidered views that there was no need to fight the fire!

The water run off was collected and is still being stored at a water treatment works in south Hertfordshire until one of the companies involved put their hands in their pockets and pay for the expensive disposal process. Hopefully now this trial is over, someone will be bought to task to finish this clean up before this stored toxic waste is accidentally spilled into the local environment (several rivers and the grand union canal pass within metres of the waste storage tanks in Rickmansworth)
