Could anyone offer an explanation as to why long sleeved hi vis vests are preffered for our lorry drivers when siting cabins near or on a motorway, as it is generally only our escort vehicle staff who wear them?

New Roads And Street Works Act I believe. All works on the highway require long sleeved Hi-Vis due to the extra reflective material in the sleeves. I believe you can wear 3/4 length sleeves also. DNW
