Hi John
Perhaps be good to have a look at some of the recent posting on this forum, there's plenty of advice in the them on where to go and CVs etc but be prepared, as it's very tough out 'there' currently. Many, many CMIOSH's are struggling to get work.

John,

Is there any opportunity to become more involved in health and safety with your current employer (assuming you are employed) as many practitioners have come into health and safety that way - often starting out as TU Safety Representatives - and developed their careers from there.

You can also try Jobrapido which collects jobs from various sources similar to Total, Reed Recruitment and Monster.

Good Luck in this difficult time.

Networking is one of the best ways to find out about jobs coming up, try joining a local health and safety group or attending more IOSH branch meetings and events, the more contacts you make the more informed you will be

Hi
I have just retired from 25 years in the police. Got my NBOSH some years back and was safety rep at a police station. Now probably in the same boat as you, i,e, looking for a job in the h&s field. I have been advised to try volunteering as an (unpaid!) observer to gain experience with a company h&s officer/inspector. Try jobisjob, Hayes, safetyjobboard.
Good luck
