Paul, I don't have a PowerPoint presentation to share with you, but then again, if I did, it would probably not fit your organisation or culture.
Can I suggest that you log on to the HSE website & search for indg417 - "Leading health & safety at work", which should give you some really good ideas & case studies - good luck!

Don't get me wrong power point is a useful tool and I don't know about others, but I am increasingly finding powerpoint presentations tiresome and a bit 'old hat' and often instantly forgettable. Why not try another method and deliver it from the heart, with passion, conviction and a sense of proportion. I wonder if that may be more memorable and effective. That is what I am planning for my next foray into a similar scenario.
Do of course use crib cards and practice it!

PP is a crib card if used properly.

I experienced death by power point last week. We had just employed a new salesman and he asked to show our company accountant and myself his presentation he had worked on. To say we were bored after 5 minutes is an understatement, dont do it please!
I also purchased a fire warden training kit the other week which included a power point presentation and this bored the staff rigid. I got the best reaction from the staff when I just simply talked to them and showed them some old training photos that I had. I will certainly not be using the purchased item again and will write my own training program for the next one. I even had people coming up to me the following day and wanting to continue the discussion in a very positive way. It just shows there really is no substitute for being passionate about your subject.

M,
How about 5 hours over 2 nights on a University Diploma course where the tutor just read directly off the slides as if it was an autocue in a TV studio. Virtually nothing else, maximum 5% variation from the text on the screen.
