Our company is going through the process of piloting Smart Working with a view to it being launched globally. The main outcomes of it will be increased hot desking (there will allocated areas for the type of task you are undertaking i.e. quiet work, team work, meetings so you may move several times in one day) and home working. I have some concerns from an ergonomic point of view particularly as we have several users who specialist chairs or hardware.
Are there any other H&S professionals who have been through a similar project? What issues did you identify and how did you overcome them?

Hi Rogers22626, be prepared for a significant drop in staff morale, a drop in productivity, a drop in quality and when the economic outlook brightens, loss of staff. On the plus side you can expect a rise in staff grievances, increased sickness absence, increased unexplained breakages and resentment.
The FD will be happy but it probably won't affect their work environment!

PS The way I overcame these problems was to leave.
