I hope someone may be able to help me. We've been sent back from site 30 tins of exhausted tins of adhesive. The tins are not 100% empty, but what is left inside has hardened (cured). The tins are now back at our factory and we need to dispose of them. The material safety data sheet for the substance states the following for disposal: Product: · Recommendation Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system. · European waste catalogue 08 04 09 waste adhesives and sealants containing organic solvents or other dangerous substances · Uncleaned packaging: · Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations. Where do we go from here?

It’s contaminated waste and need to be disposed of through a environmental waste contractor.

Freelance Once cured such material is no longer hazardous waste and can be disposed of in the normal waste stream. Landfill is normally the best option although some metal recyclers will take such cans. Bob
