I have a client who is opening offices (low risk admin type work) in France and Germany does anyone know which government health and safety agencies must be informed and will they be subject to any statutory inspections by any of these agencies in either country?

In Germany you will need to inform the local authorities (stadtverwaltung or Gemeindeverwaltung) and your Statutory Insurance Carrier (Berufsgenossenschaft). For office work this would normally be the "Verwaltungs-Berufsgenossenschaft" at the following link:https://www.vbg.de/service/online/unternehmensanmeldung/anmelden.do Manny
