I have downloaded some literature from an iosh member who goes by the name of " Tim Briggs" i found this to be a very enlightening read especially the piece on NVC and i am certain that it will enhance my job opportunities and the way that i approach interviews in the future.

Good morning all Thanks for the positive comments. Anyone wanting this material can contact me at Timothy.Briggs@BTinternet.com Bob thanks for the visual support really appreciated. Will be working on the interview skills materials to produce a combined concise effort hopefully to reduce amount of reading, but the original material was produced for supporting my students, but hopefully this will also help members improve knowledge of factors involved in the different interview types. Body language and the NVC is important to prevent "Leakage" giving away clues without knowing it!!!! To all taking their peer review interviews I wish you all the best - but essentially if you don't prepare for the interview you may not give of your best. As Colyn Powell stated "Prepare prepare prepare" and in the army we had the 6 P's = Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents P*** Poor Performance. (Sorry about the language ) Just to give members a bit of an update, Steve Hartley and myself have been revising some work on reflective writing which has been submitted to Hazel for review. It is hoped Hazel will use this to give members help with this element of our professional lives as well. Those in receipt of the earlier versions have also contributed and again thanks for positive feedback. I would like to take this public opportunity to thank Steve for his insistent help, so hopefully something else we can share for the greater good and helps us all to improve our skills. Regards Tim B PS Well done web team on the spell checker - another positive step forward for us all that shows the members are listened to.

Tim, As we would not expect one so exalted to fall foul of Forum Rule 2, we can only assume you have misspelled the word "pretty" in the above mnemonic and are in fact two asterisks short of the full set. Am I correct?

I have always considered myself to be good at interviews but the literature I received from Tim really gave me many more pointers. Thanks ever so much Tim.
