Hi All, Thought I'd share this as it may be applicable to others in a similar position. I've recently completed the university of Bath core module in Integrated Environmental Management (pending results) Point 1 - excellent course for anyone in H&S that is finding more and more of the day to day activities involve the E part as well. That aside.... Point 2 - Although they provide all the reading material needed in the form of workbooks I also picked up a copy of "Essentials of Environmental Management" Hyde and Reeve, just to provide an alternatives source and view. I have to say this must be possibly the best 30 quid I've ever spent on a text book, I've dipped in and out of it over the last 4 months but also read the thing from cover to cover (I had a lot of time sitting in airports!) Its very very easy to read, well laid out and seems to contain all the needed information- certainly it concurs closely (but in an easier to understand format) than the uni produced stuff. In short anyone who like me is a bit weak on environmental management but is ending up getting more and more involved then I'd heartily recommend this book. There are probably others out there equally as good but this just struck me as easily understandable, certainly I'm not in the habit of reading text books from cover to cover but I did with this one, very useful book indeed. Anyways thought I'd share, Cheers for now Ian

Thank you for the tip Ian; I will have a look at a well know internet (river?) website for a copy. Stuart

I’ve recommended this book to a chap yesterday who’s just getting into environmental management. Ian, well done on completing your module and good luck for the future!

It has the IOSH logo on the front so it may even be an IOSH publication. Worth checking in case its a bit cheaper than the standard book sites ??
