I think having an understanding of the purpose of a PTW is going to be more useful than just answering one question. Write down a list of what you think is the purpose of a PTW and list examples where you might typically use one and what information they should contain. Try understanding the reason why we have these systems and how they work rather than trying to remember an answer to a question which will do you no good in the long run. The whole point of NEBOSH or any training is trying to teach you an understanding of the subject NOT to teach you answers to a set number of questions. Phil

Thanks Phil. Please do not get me wrong but I am not a NEBOSH student and am au fait with the process. I am looking for a specific NEBOSH question to show a colleague so that he can see what the answer should cover. Cheers, Malcolm

"The whole point of NEBOSH...is trying to teach you an understanding of the subject NOT to teach you answers to a set number of questions" Sorry, had to laugh. Some would argue the whole point of NEBOSH is teaching people how to answer questions "the NEBOSH way", but that's a point for a different thread!

Hi Philip I know what you mean that's why i stated "The whole point of NEBOSH or any TRAINING" Question:- When might you decide that it is appropriate to use a permit and what advantages are there to such a system.. Answer: A permit to work system is a formal safety control system designed to prevent accidental injury to personnel, damage to plant and product, particularly when work with a foreseeable high hazard content is undertaken and the precautions required are numerous and complex. Certificate. if you want examples try contacting NEBOSH for example questions as i believe it would be a copyright infringement to post exact quotes on here. Surely you must be able to come up with an example. Either certificate or diploma Phil
