I'm looking for justification on requiring certain documents on site. Most are no problem as they come directly for Regulations but others are in a little "grey area".
Can you please advise re the following:
Induction training and daily safety checks,
I may come up with a few more later.
Thanks

Induction must come under Management R13, capabilities and training
Daily safety checks would be PUWER, LOLER, even COSHH for LEV

Thanks m, spot on with Reg 13. Daily checks are required by different regs however, I know MEWP should have them but what about the general workplace?

Pre-use "proving" of electrical test meters which are going to be used for "dead testing" on isolated equipment in order to prevent live working? Not too sure on the documentation for this one though, maybe part of the isolation permit?
You could class this under PUWER and EAW?

A different Reg 13(4)(a) of CDM - requires contractors to provide a site induction.
As regards work equipment inspections, a simple rule of thumb ...
If I'm using a piece of work equipment then I need to have it inspected and maintained. If I'm having it maintained or inspected I should have a record of it because how else do I demonstrate that my work equipment is in a safe condition?
Manufacturers and British Standards are great for telling us how often things should be checked etc.
Hope that helps.
