Hi all, Just about to commence delivering my first IOSH managing safely course, I am a competent trainer and have delivered CIEH courses and internal H&S courses within my organisation for several years. Can any regular IOSH trainers give me any tips/advice on making the course successful? I have already included information/exercises that are specific to my industry (leisure & entertainment). I have also already attended the IOSH awareness training session so anything on top of this would be good. Thanks Paul

One bit of advice I have dispensed to trainess is to keep the area for the risk assessment under control. What I mean by that is that the exercise needs to be conducted in a part of the workplace that's big enough to have a range of hazards, but small enough to be amenable to thorough examination. So in a Charity shop I usually advise people to do the sort room; in a care centre it would be a day room or kitchen, rather than an entire floor, John
