Hi All. Could anyone give advice on the calculation method for STEL and LTEL please. I have become a little confused with the process?? Thanks

I think you need to give us a bit more detail. What exactly are you trying to calculate and where are you stuck?

Hi, I think you’ll find all the info you need in document EH40 including examples of calculations, its freely available at: http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/priced/eh40.pdf To convert from ppm to mg/m3 use the following formula for the workplace exposure limit: WEL mg/m3 = (ppm x substance molecular weight)/24.06 As a rough guide STEL = 3 x LTEL if information on the STEL is not available.
