Hi All,
Does anyone use or come across any good PC based Preventative Maintenance system. Have looked on google and there are plenty around, but always handy to know what ones have been tried and tested.

A lot of Major companies use Maximo to record tools / equipment and set times and dates for recalls, inspection and maintenance.
Depending on the size of your site and system requirements a simple access or excel database could suffice?

We use FLINT from Shire Systems. This is an excellent CMMS. Does stock control, work scheduling, inspection sheets, purchasing etc. A good all round comprehensive system.

The standard one used in the marine industry is AMOS - very complex so may be more than you need.

My old company used MAXIMO although it is a lot larger than just preventative maintenance. if it is just preventative maintenance then i would agree excel spreadsheet it would all that is required and probably a lot more simple to setup and control and can be tailored to your needs as certainly MAXIMO is a beast as it controls everything from purchasing inventory etc etc.
Can you be more specific what you are after how many machines and what type of equipment.
